Rain

I saw the rains of yesterday come pouring in like a flood
bouncing like shadows on a wall
I love rain, but this kind of rain I did not like at all
Reminders of yesterday, thoughts of despair
Accusations from an old world
This just doesn’t seem fair
I rebuke them and go on with my day
I have the power
I signed an agreement with spiritual ink
I am a member of the blood washed gang
No longer in sin I sink!

What kind of rain is this?
The shadows disappear and have no form
Because with my rain maker
I am protected from all harm

Now I have control over all shadows
A rainbow of red washed them away
the sea of forgetfulness swallowed them up
As for as the east is from the west
Pop pop they’re gone
like bubbles blowing in the wind
No longer can I be reminded of my sin
I have captured the final test
I am in a Calvary rest

Now I see only the rains of today,
Showers of blessings on each word I say
I met The Rainmaker on my trip
Around the world
Forever with me he promised to stay

Now the rains of tomorrow are flooding in on me
Showering me with everlasting life
Free from sin and strife
For it is the former and latter rains
Blessings of eternity, promises of forever
dance inside the sprinkles
It is all my gain

My Rainmaker sends special rain
I am wrapped in his Word
It holds me steadfast in all truth
His love enfolds me
His joy captivates me
I am alive and well
Searching for the city not made by hand
So beautiful, no human tongue can tell

Good health follows me around
Flowers of spring bloom on my pathway
I am in love to stay
I’m listening for the final call
His grace is sufficient for me
Now let the rains fall
