A Special Anointing
You Need It To Last


Isaiah 61:1

The spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.

Luke 4:17-21

And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias and when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written.

The spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty to them that are bruised.

To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

And he closed the book and he gave it again to the minister and sat down. And the eyes of all them in the synagogue was fastened on him.

And he began to say unto them this day is the scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Jesus had to be anointed and he was God in the flesh, the word and the spirit. It takes a special anointing to do a work for God.

Three things the Lord is impressing in my spirit for your hearing is this:

1. This kind only comes through fasting and prayer
2. You have to be different, hide yourself, your mind, body, soul and spirit in the word.
3. You’ve got to be free in spirit and flesh. Get rid of the sin that so easily beset you

Special means particularly good; exceptional, peculiar, for a particular purpose. Uncommon, rare, unusual, out of the ordinary, extraordinary, distinquished, notable, noteworthy, significant, important, determined, unorthodox, exclusive, or custom made.

Anointing means something extra has been applied to you for a special purpose.

You need that special anointing from God to do a particular work for him as Jesus was anointed. Did he need this special anointing, for surely he was God in the flesh, the word that became flesh and he gave up the Holy Spirit.
Yet, his Father anointed him to do the work to serve out that purpose for which he came in the world to redeem man back to the father.

Anybody just can’t come in here with the letter and no anointing for anything. You have to be filled with God’s spirit, set your self apart to God to be taught of him, fast, pray, and consecrate yourself before God to receive of him. It takes all of this that you get full of the word and it becomes a living part of you before the anointing is perfected in you for that special work. The letter without the anointing from God is effect without purpose.

In Isaiah 63:7-10 the people of Israel had to go through brokenness before they were set free. You’ve got to go through the process of brokenness to obtain the favor of God.

God will break you to anoint you. You have the gift of God without repentance and you can use the gift you have for God as well as the Devil. Your gift becomes profitable for you to use it in a way that it’s profitable for you to do evil work, to tell lies on your brother or sisters and because of who you are, people listens. You are standing in the way of sinners, sitting in the seat of the scornful, and walking in the counsel of the ungodly. You will do unrighteous acts with no conscience and need to consider your ways.

Psalms 35:13
Humble yourself with fasting. This takes discipline. That discipline comes through being anointed to fast. You can’t do it on your own. Being without food is just that without food without the anointing to fast; it’s not effective.



I Corinthians 7:5
Sometimes you have to pull yourself away to give your self to fasting, but it has to be with permission of your spouse; otherwise it’s of non-effect. Defraud ye not one to the other except it be with consent for a time that ye may give yourself to fasting and prayer and come together again that Satan tempt ye not for your contingency.

II Corinthians 6:5
Approve yourself as ministers of God in fasting. You can only obtain the victory over any circumstances of life is through God anointing for you to go through this or that.

II Corinthians 11:27
Out of all the things you go through, fasting will bring you through it. Fasting is a special anointing that brings deliverance to the one that’s bound. You have to fast often, not just a ritualistic observance practiced but it is a voluntary abstinence always of things ungodly; so that when you fast it is an anointed one, special to you and God.

Sin is a choice and you make the choice to sin. Sin causes you to lose out with God and that special anointing upon your life will leave. It’s hardly ever a person gets back to that place in God where they were, except God intervene with his purpose.

David was anointed King. He was anointed to destroy the giant with five anointed pebbles. Because he chose to sin for a season, he was denied the awesome task of building God a house. His son Solomon was anointed to build the house, a Temple unto the Lord.

Paul was anointed to preach deliverance to many people, even when he went to prison he brought deliverance to many with his letters, but he could not deliver himself from the wrath of Nero on his life. No matter what you do, you have a penalty to pay for disobedience and sometime it cost you your life. Paul wrote most of the New Testament but he still lost his head.

Debra was an anointed Prophetess and Judge of Israel. The children of Israel came to her beneath her palm tree for her to render judgment in their disputes they could not or would not settle on their own. The Lord anointed her with wisdom and had her in a very high position. Even in her position she reverence and praised God and sought him for answers. She did not lean to her own understanding. The anointing she had was a special one of carrying the burdens of the people. It took her out on the battlefield yet giving instructions and the battle was won as she had spoken. She was remembered as one that was a prophetess, then judge that led her people both wisely and well.

Samuel was anointed to succeed Eli, as his sons went the way of the world and could not succeed their father.

Elisha was anointed to receive Elijah’s anointing when he was taken up. You’ve got to stop accepting what the Devil send you to use and start waiting on God to send you anointed, effective servants to get the job done.

It takes a special anointing for you to stand firm and trust God for victory against the enemy.

A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth and the recompense of a man’s hand shall be rendered unto him. In other words what you sow you reap. Therefore you need anointed hands, diligent hands to bear rule. You need the anointing to keep you from being enslaved, slothful. Be self- motivated, activate your faith through speaking. You have got to be anointed to speak a word in due season. You speak faith and not doubt. The anointing will help you to speak. A man has joy by the answer of his mouth and a word spoken in due season, how good it is. We must have a ready answer, be informed and have information.

God anoints us, calls us, but our joy come from what we speak, the answer of your mouth. Say the right thing at the right time.

Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.

Better it is to be of a humble spirit with the lowly than to divide the spoil with the proud.

He that handle a matter wisely shall find good and who so trust in the Lord, happy is he.

A special anointed person is wise in heart, there understanding is a well spring of life, the heart of the wise teach his mouth and added learning to his lips. Thy words are pleasant as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to his bones, but an ungodly person that is not anointed digs up evil and his lips are as a burning fire. He is forward, sows strife and is a whisperer, a gossip that separates chief friends. He or she is violent, entices his neighbor and lead them into the way that is not good. They are wrathful, stirs up strife, and pour out evil things.

A special anointed person is slow to anger, is better than the mighty and rules his spirit well. He can take a city and his heart is righteous.
