Have you counted up the cost?
and studied, the blue-print laid
Did you search the plan through and through
even though the debt had been paid
But we have something more to do
in order to have a place
In the kingdom of God where angels reside
as we continue in this race
We are a spiritual house that must be built
with the right lumber and tools to use
and it begins with the doors of our hearts
which hate and malice we must refuse
Our roof-top must be covered with grace and truth
strong and fashioned by thoughts of good
and not any other singles can we put on it
Plus it's sidings must have special wood
Our window panes, must have clear glass
so we can see with a spiritual sight
And no matter how dark it looks from outside
it will let keep us on this flight
Our walls can be fashioned with joyous praise
to help lighten the loads each time
So insteading of complaining and finding fault
we can have comfort in oue mind
Surly our steps are very important
they must be balanced and in a sure place
for we need direction on this journey
to handle in whatever we may face
Every room of our heart must be kept clean
allow no dust or dirt to pile up
Keep putting out the trash don't let it settle in
but fill up with God's righteous cup
This house was established by his word
built by the tools which we use in side
And it will stand in any kind of weather
if we will continue to let it abide
Then we can say this building is prepared
we used the right materials God gave
and it will pass and meet all requirements
for we took what it takes to be saved
