I’ve set before you, life and good,
As well as what’s death and evil;
If you obey Him as you should,
Or be controlled by the devil.

Obey the precepts of the Lord,
Your God that commands you today;
By showing He’s loved and adored,
Will walk in His ways not to stray.

Keep His commandments and statutes,
Then you shall live and multiply;
The Lord God will bless your pursuits,
In the land that you occupy.

But if your heart would turn away,
The Lord your God then will not hear;
The prayers you speak throughout each day,
For other gods that you revere.

I declare that you will perish,
You shall not live long in this land;
And lose everything you cherish,
Not following what He’d command.

I call on Heaven to witness,
and upon the earth against you;
That your life for the Lord to bless,
Or the curse of death to pursue.

Choose life that your offspring may live,
That you may love the Lord your God;
Cling to Him with honor to give,
Worshipping to praise and to laud.

Listen as you obey His voice,
He is your life and length of days;
That you may dwell as you rejoice,
Obedient what He conveys.
