Man has a long and infamous history of taking what God has given the human race, or what Man has engineered, and quickly turning it into the means of serious injury or death for millions of individuals.
Sad to say, but the same time and finances spent on developing the means to engage in conventional and biological warfare, could have been used to research and develop the means to address the global needs to preserve the natural environment, and find effective cures and treatments of many of the deadly diseases that have come along.
There is the means to feed, clothe, shelter all of the people of the world, yet some of us are filthy rich while others starve.
Sad to say, but because of the desire to be number one, at the expense of others, wars and rumors of wars have been, are now, and will continue to be a part of the human experience, until the Millennial Kingdom is established. Jesus taught us that the things MUST take place (Matt 24: 6).
In some cases, without divine intervention, such “advances” in technology have the potential of destroying human existence altogether, here on Earth.
In God’s timing, planet Earth is going to be subjected to a source of heat so intense that the physical elements that make up the planet's physical structure will melt away (2Pet. 3: 10).
What part, if any, artificial intelligence will play in the unfolding of End Time prophecies is yet to be seen, but the fact that these events, regardless of what contributes to it, are going to take place, should be of greater concern.
Granted, with each “advancement in technology,” there is the accompanying need to take steps to maintain control over the potential harm such things present to our spiritual, mental, and physical well-being.
One thing is for certain, neither AI or any other means is going to bring human history, or planet Earth to their end “by the end of the decade,” as being promoted in the more recent media broadcasts.
How do we know this?
The major events that set the 1,007-year countdown to the “end of the world” in motion begins with the Rapture (1Thess. 4: 16, 17).
The Rapture could be years away, or could take place today, if today turns out to be the day that God has planned for it to take place.
When the Rapture takes place, the born-again believers who are physically alive in natural bodies will have their bodies instantaneously (1Cor. 15: 52) transformed into resurrected bodies, and taken away from the earth. They will be united with all the born-again believers who had previously departed and were in interim bodies (2Cor. 5: 1) in Heaven, awaiting the Rapture.
When the Rapture takes place, the departed believers in Heaven will exchange their interim bodies (2Cor. 5: 1) for their resurrected bodies that God raises at the Rapture, from the bodly remains (or dust) that they had left behind when they had encountered physical death (1Thess. 4: 16).
As this transformation of both groups takes place, this united group, consisting the departed souls in Heaven, and the souls taken up from the Earth, will gather around the Lord Jesus in the air above the Earth. This group, aka The Church that God designed, will be among other groups, who will return to Earth with the Lord Jesus Christ at the Second Advent, seven (some teach 3 ½ ) years later.
Departed unbelievers suffering in the Torments of Hades remain there until the Rev. 20: 13, 15 event takes place, and have no part in any of the End Time events, here on Earth.
In the meantime, back on planet Earth, once the Rapture has taken place, there is a seven (some teach 3 ½ year) period of time that will include the Great Tribulation, that is Biblically described as being the worst time to be alive on planet Earth in all of human history, to date (Matt. 24: 22).
It will be so horrific, that if it were not cut short by the Second Advent taking place, no life on the planet would survive. Details of these events that will contribute to this horrific period are documented in the pages of John’s Revelation, the last book in the Bible.
At the end of this seven-year period, the Second Advent takes place, and the 1,000-year millennial Kingdom, headquartered in Jerusalem, Israel, is established (Rev. 20: 4-6).
