From The Father’s Hand

God so often blesses us
With his precious gifts of love;
We sense His loving smile,
When He blesses from above.

But when unexpected heartache,
Or sorrow comes crashing down,
Can we trust His hand of love,
When we fear that we will drown?

For when our heart is breaking,
And we feel we can’t go on,
Our father seeks to draw us,
And give us His strength and song.

It’s so easy to rejoice
When everything seems all well.
But when the storm rages fierce,
Will our trust in God still tell?

Could it be that the heartaches
Are filtered through His good hand?
Could this too be giv’n in love,
Though we don’t now understand?

Sometimes the darkest trials
Are where we find our God most near!
When we cling fast to His hand,
He becomes to us more dear.

Can we thank Him in the pain,
When we feel so all alone,
Knowing He's ever faithful,
And still reigns upon his throne?

Can we accept all He gives,
And offer it back to Him,
As an offering of love,
Though our sight is now so dim?

Trusting God’s unfailing love,
We can rest our souls, and stand:
Upheld by His faithfulness;
Receiving from our Father’s hand.

Roman’s 8:35, 37-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
