God is the Judge

“We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near. When I choose the proper time, I will judge uprightly. The earth and all its inhabitants are dissolved; I set up its pillars firmly. Selah.

For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge. He puts down one, and exalts another.” Psalm 75:1-3,6

Thanksgiving at the reality of the nearness of God as manifested in His works is always in order. His name, by this testimony, speaks of His presence.

In His timing He will judge uprightly. Man finds it hard to take judgment from man for it is often faulty, coloured by the judge’s humanity but judgment from God is perfect in its conception and execution.

He can dissolve (bring to nothing) and set up (construct from nothing) and His judgments are beyond reproach. What He sets up will never be shaken by man.

God is the Judge and in the minutest situation or in the most far-reaching situation, He can exalt or put down. When viewing world affairs, this truth must be kept in mind. The Judge IS present and His court is ALWAYS in session. “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” Genesis 18:25

Because I can trust the Judge of all the earth to do right I have a peace that flows from that confidence, by His grace and for His glory.
