The Word 1 Corinthians 13 Is Lived.
Love endures the furnace, patient and slow,
Love bears the searing heat only the broken know.
Love craves no seat where pride makes its demands,
It anchors in the Truth, the only ground where Love stands.

Love blows no trumpet to prove that it is right,
Love does not boast of its own internal light.
Love has no master nor a throne of human stone,
It walks into the dungeons to free the ones alone.

Love keeps no ledger of the wrongs that have been done,
It greets the morning mercy of the rising Son.
Love finds no joy when proud hearts meet their fall,
It longs to see them risen, restored within their all.

Love covers every wound that living has cruelly made,
It trusts in the Unseen, and is never once afraid.
Love’s flame of hope no tsunami can stifle in its flood,
It grows the iron in our bones through sweat and blood.

Love lived received the Promise our efforts will never fail,
It stands when every human hope turns to dust and trail.
Love is the safest weapon to use in our own self-defence,
It is the solid ground and has Justice as confidence.

When we were children we spoke from a life lived in lies,
We saw the world through the veils of other people’s eyes.
But an eye that loves has torn the blindness of the veil apart,
For Love is the only language to be written on a bleeding heart.

So these three remain, in the middle of the strife:
Faith breaks the prison doors, and Hope prepares the life,
But the Greatest is Love Served, The Guts that hold our frame,
The fire that burns Yes forever at the calling of His Name.
