The Lord’s voice is over waters,
As the God of glory thunders;
Waves like the horses as trotters,
Tossing about freely wanders.

The voice of the Lord is mighty,
A soft voice full of majesty;
Those who hear will listen nightly,
Being humbled with modesty.

The voice of the Lord breaks cedars,
He makes the ox skip like a fawn;
The beasts of the field as breeders,
Giving birth at the crack of dawn.

The voice of the Lord flashes flames,
As His voice shakes the wilderness;
Hearing His voice as it proclaims,
Because of displeased bitterness.

The Lord’s voice makes the deer give birth,
And grow the forest filled with trees;
His church cries glory on the earth,
Carried forth by air in its breeze.
