My All In All

When my God gives, and takes away
Things and people I hold dear,
He wants to be my all in all,
And to draw me still more near.

When others fail and hurt me,
I find His comfort and grace.
When it seems I walk in darkness,
I long more to see His face.

When I have needs, in my weakness,
I rely on my great King;
For I’ve found Him more than enough,
In each and every thing.

When my heart seems broken and scarred,
And I can’t see God’s loving hand,
I’ll cling in sweet trust to Him,
Knowing He has a perfect plan.

When I look on the trials and tests,
My frail heart becomes cast down,
So I choose to look at my Savior;
His joy and peace are my crown.

When I lean upon my Jesus,
The more I find Him to be
My Father, and true All in all!
And I know that He cares for me.
