None of us is a useless human being, as the enemy of our soul wants us to believe. One of the greatest wonders of God is that when we become a Believer and Christ Follower, no matter who we are, we also become His Light to a world that has been blinded to Him.

As a born-again child of God, we are blessed to have an amazing purpose. We are not only loved by the Almighty God, we’re also able to carry that love and His Light to a spiritually darkened world that is lost and blinded to Him and His love.

Think about what that means. They are blinded to Jesus, but not to us Believers who carry His light!

No matter our circumstances or status in life, His light in us can help those locked in spiritual darkness see and find Him, then able to escape a darkness of hopelessness that had kept them ignorant of His life-changing goodness and life-giving Light.

But it is up to us to keep His Light shining bright in our life.

By remaining faithful to His Word and living in obedience to Him, the more we are able to keep ourselves free from the things of this world that dim it. By remaining close as we follow Him, we are blessed and honored to serve a life-changing purpose like no other.

Let’s let the insight found in the following verses sink deep into our hearts today—blessed with a special joy knowing we’re able to share a Light of hope and life like no other.

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory….” 2 Corinthians 4:4,6 NIV

“You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.”  Matthew 5:14-16 AMP
