True worship is letting God be God. To worship means to be tuned into who God is. This involves being authentic in who you are and being open to connect with who He is.

We were made in His image - just imagine God looking at you as a new parent looks on their newborn “She's got your eyes....He's got your nose…” He may be saying “she's got your heart...he's got your love”.

The closer you are to someone...the less need there is for words. In fact sometimes words get in the way. Imagine if you will, a young couple in love overlooking a sunset and saying "you know...that magenta and baby blue really blend well to make a perfect background to this wonderful time we are having together....I think we should wait until the sun is at least 5 degrees from the horizon before we kiss...what do you think?"

Just “being” with the other person...sharing the moment - and absorbing the connection...creates a place of comfort...a place to just be! We are human beings not human doings!!! This means being true to God and truly able to be with God. 'In quietness and confidence shall be your strength'....'Be still and know that I am God'

In quietness, we reflect...we are able to listen. Listening is a large part of worship we often neglect. God came to spend time with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day. Just think, just before sunset...if you have a chance to take note, in nature there is a certain restfulness. Most animals are calm and retreating. The breeze seems tender and calming...the day is finishing. There is a quiet sense of satisfaction.

We can bring all our thoughts, words, songs, and dances to God. But the greatest thing we can bring to God in worship is ourselves...our deepest self ... the parts of ourselves that we are not comfortable sharing with others. All our sinfulness ... our brokenness...our fragile tender selves. God can then take that sinfulness ... brokenness ... fragile tender self and soothe it with the balm of His love and forgiveness. This is the only balm that can truly soothe that deep inner ache.

“Dear Heavenly Father, Holy Spirit and Jesus, You know who I am ... in all my strength and all my weakness, I accept you as Lord of my life...please take me, as I am Yours. Help me to let go and give You the reigns of my life. Give me the courage to let go and let You lead ... Lord please speak to me from Your tender heart” (take time to listen..........) “Thank You for Your loving, healing balm, please show me how to just ‘be’ in Your Love so that I can share who You are with others. In Your Name. Amen.”
