Something isn’t adding up.

The weather feels more extreme. The explanations feel thinner. And the more you look, the more questions you find.

At the same time, food prices are rising, energy costs are volatile, and global tensions are increasing—and yet we are told everything is under control.

But what if it isn’t?

What if what we are witnessing is not merely political or economic, but spiritual?

The Sky Above Us

Look up.

Most days, I do.

And what I see are long white streaks stretching across the sky. Some say they are just contrails—normal jet exhaust. Others believe they are something more.

The divide is real.

Some people never question it. Others cannot stop.

Years ago, somewhere between 2005 and 2008, I attended a gathering in Hollywood, California, that stayed with me. I met G. Edward Griffin, known for his work exposing the Federal Reserve system, and in the same room was music producer Quincy Jones.

That night, a documentary on atmospheric spraying, which many call “chemtrails,” was shown. It was not presented as entertainment, but as something serious.

And it left me with a question I have never been able to fully answer.

If something is being dispersed into the atmosphere on a large scale, how do those responsible avoid the consequences themselves? They breathe the same air, drink the same water, and live under the same sky.

There are no easy answers.

One name that continues to surface in this discussion is Dane Wigington, who has spent years studying geoengineering and weather modification. His work suggests that large-scale atmospheric intervention may already be underway.

You do not have to agree with all of his conclusions.

But you should at least ask the question:

What if even part of this is true?

The Ancient Desire to Be Like God

This desire to control nature is not new.

It reaches back to the very beginning.

“Ye shall be as gods…” (Genesis 3:5 KJV)

That was the original temptation.

And it remains the same today.

As far back as the late 1950s and early 1960s, leaders like Lyndon B. Johnson spoke about the power associated with controlling the weather. The idea is simple: control the skies, and you influence agriculture, economies, and entire populations.

But beneath this ambition lies something deeper.

Man seeking to take the place of God.

Playing God With Money

This same mindset appears in the financial world.

Central banks create money out of nothing. Interest rates are manipulated. Markets are managed—until they collapse.

This is not merely economics.

It reflects a deeper belief that man can create, sustain, and control reality itself.

But Scripture warns us:

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
— Proverbs 14:12 (KJV)

Over the past fifty years, enormous wealth has been created. But so has instability.

Systems built on pride and control cannot endure forever.

Weather, Money, and Power Under Judgment

Control the sky.
Control the money.
Control the food.

This is not just power.

It is rebellion.

And God has already spoken about how this ends.

“And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come… and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.”
— Revelation 11:18 (KJV)

This is a sobering truth.

God will not allow His creation to be corrupted indefinitely. Those who destroy the earth will themselves face destruction.

When Food Becomes Unaffordable

There is another layer to consider.

Energy drives everything.

When energy costs rise, fertilizer becomes more expensive. When fertilizer becomes more expensive, food production declines. When food production declines, prices rise, and people begin to suffer.

We are already seeing the early stages of this.

And Scripture described this long ago.

“And I beheld, and lo, a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
And I heard a voice… A measure of wheat for a penny…”
— Revelation 6:5–6 (KJV)

This passage speaks of scarcity.

Food is priced at a level most people can barely afford.

Measured distribution. Economic pressure is tied to survival.

The parallels to our current situation are difficult to ignore.

Tribulation: Not Escape, But Endurance

Many today believe that Christians will escape these troubles through a secret rapture.

But Jesus said:

“In the world ye shall have tribulation…”
— John 16:33 (KJV)

Not that we might.

But that we shall.

There have always been those who attempt to pinpoint the timing of the end, connecting biblical events with historical timelines. While these efforts can stir interest, they often miss the central message of Scripture. We are not called to calculate the exact day, but to live in constant readiness, because the return of Christ will come at a time when many are not expecting it.

God’s people have never been exempt from suffering.

But there is a crucial distinction.

Believers may experience tribulation, but they are not appointed to God’s wrath.

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:9 (KJV)

This means we may endure hardship in this world, but we will not face the final judgment reserved for the wicked.

When Disasters Raise Spiritual Questions

Consider the devastating fires in recent years.

From Malibu and Pacific Palisades to Altadena, and even the catastrophic fires in Hawaii, entire communities have been destroyed.

The official explanations may account for part of what happened. But many are asking deeper questions.

Why do these events seem to be increasing in frequency and intensity? Why do systems fail at critical moments? Why does the world feel increasingly unstable?

Even figures such as Mel Gibson have expressed skepticism after experiencing personal loss.

But the deeper issue is not simply what caused any one event.

It is this:

“For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”
— Romans 8:22 (KJV)

Creation itself bears the marks of sin and corruption.

Behold, He Cometh

History is not random.

It is moving toward a final moment.

“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”
— Revelation 1:7 (KJV)

This is not poetic language.

It is a declaration.

Jesus Christ is coming again.

All human systems will be exposed. All false power will collapse. All rebellion will be judged.

The Final Question

So the question is not simply what is happening in the world.

The real question is this:

Are we ready for what is coming?

Because the same world that seeks to control everything will one day answer to the One who controls all things.

“And shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.”
— Revelation 11:18 (KJV)

The world is changing rapidly, but God’s Word has not changed.

The question is not whether these things will come to pass, but whether we are prepared to stand on that day through faith in Jesus Christ.

“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him…”
— Revelation 1:7 (KJV)

Even so, Amen.
