Now I know why I pray so hard
because, it is necessary
When being used, like a piece of bait
so alone this cross I carry

How important this is, for this life of mine
to have a burden for another
And my heart had to melt, for this cause
for either, a sister or brother

To sell out, you got to give up something
even if it cost a slap in the face
And you must be prepared, to deal with it;
while on this Christian race

O' the price is not paid with silver or gold
but, suffering of the flesh, we must do
By presenting our body's as a living sacrifice
and this saying, it is not new

Now I can refuse and balk at this plight
and throw the oars over-board
Or I can take it in, seasoned with grace
and let it, continue, to absorb

For grace will be given, when needed
God will supply it each new day
So whatever is being thrown, in our paths
he will send it right away

So you can't afford to be, on anothers boat
for theirs will cause one to drown
Get on the ship, that's filled with love
and has grace that will abound

These things you will learn, day by day
it's a process that we go through
So the bad must come, with the good
but only a lesson for me and you

Now the conclusion, is to deal with it;
and ask God to make us strong
To endure the wrong, that comes our way
and he'll give us a brand new song

2 Timothy 2;12 If we suffer we shall also
reign with him
