Never Give Up God is still in control

Life often presents us with tough situations, and it's completely normal to feel overwhelmed or exhausted to the point of wanting to give up. When things don’t unfold as we hoped, it’s easy to become disheartened. Philippians 4:13 reminds us that with Christ's strength, we can find peace and face any obstacle, knowing we’re never alone in our struggles.
When I was hospitalized with COVID years ago, this verse became my source of strength. Despite being in the ICU and battling pneumonia in both lungs, I held on to those words, whispering them over and over. Slowly but surely, I found the strength to take small steps to the bathroom. Each step felt monumental, and it was a surreal experience. I’ve always been healthy, yet suddenly I found myself in a hospital bed, surrounded by equipment and medical care. But by clinging to faith, I discovered the power of perseverance.

God’s revelations become more transparent in your suffering- I was raised in an alcoholic environment, which made life really unpredictable and left me scared to sleep at night. Mom and Dad were divorced due to my father’s alcoholism, abuse, and womanizing behaviors. He would often show up in the middle of the night drunk, punching out the front window as an easy entry into our home. I was scared all the time; even when I did not have a reason to be, and I carried this fear everywhere that I went. As a child, I experienced panic attacks without knowing what they were. However, I discovered that these tough times, despite the hurt, served as important lessons. The chaos around me became my teacher, and through the pain, I found my purpose. Pain isn’t something to fear; it’s a way to purify and guide us toward our true purpose.

Challenges like betrayal, loss, and disappointment can bring immense pain, but they also offer opportunities for growth and resilience.

 Facing tough times, betrayal, and feelings of abandonment can create deep pain. It's especially hard when a partner chooses to leave after years of loyalty. Being let down by a friend or loved one hurts, especially when you've invested time and energy in supporting them. The absence of a parent who should have cared for you can be heartbreaking. Missing out on a job you were well-suited for adds to that struggle, especially when you're dealing with bills and financial pressure. Remember, do not let these challenges don’t define you; they can be stepping stones to a stronger and more resilient you.

Feeling Burned out-There was a moment in my life when I felt completely overwhelmed by my situation. As a mother of four young kids, I found myself trapped in a chaotic and abusive marriage. I didn’t have family support, and efforts to seek legal help often seemed to favor my abuser. It was a heartbreaking experience, and I frequently felt isolated, as if God had abandoned me, which wasn’t true at all. I prayed day and night for relief, but all I received was silence. It was incredibly painful. However, slowly, I began to see changes. These weren’t instant but came gradually as I took one step at a time and trusted in my faith. Trusting that God is always in control no matter what the circumstances reveal can be very difficult, but attempting to take control and fix it yourself is even worst. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him; and he will direct your path.

 Facing challenges is much like baking a cake — you can't just throw in ingredients after you bake it. This is why it is important to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit and focus on what truly matters, rather than your emotions to avoid confusion. Sometimes this may mean distancing yourself from people who do not serve you in a positive way. If the mind is cluttered with worry, it’s difficult to hear from God, which obscures your path. Each day, take small, consistent steps and celebrate even the tiniest victories. Progress doesn’t have to be huge; every little achievement counts when you let God lead your way.

Psalm 119:105 reminds us that God’s word is like a lamp shining on our path, guiding us through life’s darkness. His light helps us navigate difficult times. Isaiah 43:2 assures us that even in tough situations, we are never alone; He is always with us. Carefully view each hurdle as a stepping stone on your path. With every tough situation you face, you build your strength and resilience. Embrace the difficulty; it could lead to unexpected breakthroughs. Don’t ever lose hope. Instead, surround yourself with positive, supportive people who believe in you. Their encouragement can inspire you to keep going. There were many times when I prayed, fasted, and diligently sought the Lord, yet only silence responded. I felt as if God had abandoned me like others had done so many times; until the breakthrough happened. When the appointed time arrives for your victory in any situation, this is when you realize that God was listening the entire time to your prayers. He sees every tear and understands every emotional longing. He truly cares about every aspect of your life. So don’t give up just because you don’t see any progress or changes. God works behind the scenes arranging things in your favor if you continue to believe and trust the process.


Stay the course no matter how heavy the burden is and keep moving forward. You’ve got this!

As I sat alone during those quiet hours, fighting through tears, I had an important realization: my burdens do not define me. Instead of letting despair take hold, I began to recognize the strength of perseverance. It’s vital to remember that everyone fights their own battles, even if they aren’t visible. We might feel isolated in our struggles, but when we choose to push forward, we uncover our own inner strength. Each small victory serves as a reminder of our resilience. The journey ahead may be daunting, but every step we take, no matter how small, brings us closer to brighter days. We may not always see the light at the end of the tunnel, but we can trust that it's there, waiting for us. Never give up. And remember that your life belongs to God and not yours to take. Never allow the enemy of your soul to talk you into giving up. Things always get better and brighter if you just hang in there and trust God. Psalms 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Prayer to Never Give up

Heavenly Father, As I come before You, I seek strength in my moments of doubt. Please fill my heart with unwavering faith. Remind me that even in the darkest times, your light guides my path. Help me to embrace perseverance, knowing that giving up is not an option when I trust in Your divine plan. Let me feel Your presence as a constant source of hope and encouragement. Teach me to lean on You in my struggles, recognizing that my challenges are opportunities for growth. Empower me to rise after each fall, renewed in spirit and purpose. With every step, may I hold tight to my belief in You. Instill in me the courage to continue on this journey, knowing that Your love supports me every day. In the name of Jesus Amen.
