The Overhaul Of Our Nation’s HHS To Save Medicare

America is at a crossroads.  We either accept the fact that Medicare will become unsustainable by 2036, or we act now to overhaul the system and ensure its future.

Every Secretary of Health and Human Services since the days of President Clinton has failed to curtail Medicare/Medicaid costs, actually seeing increases of 3% annually, and now it stands at a 7% increase annually for the last five years, with the projected total expense of $6.5 trillion for 2025, with costs projected to continue to increase at 7% a year until 2032. 

President Trump has two men approved by Congress and now tasked to do exactly this: Overhaul HHS to ensure that Medicare/Medicaid will be solvent well past 2036 and to “Make America Healthy Again.”

HHS Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, JD, and Dr. Mehmet Oz, MD, will “overhaul” this current healthcare system by essentially front-loading the system with more Primary Care Providers and with substantial changes to medical coding, fee schedules, less paperwork, clearing insurance delays, and many other changes.  

These new front-line PCPS, whose enhanced services will provide for exponential savings in the long term by first-stage diagnosis of serious diseases and by providing more accessible and better healthcare.

“There needs to be a change in how Medicare compensates doctors by a change in the billing codes, which has historically overpaid specialists for procedures while shortchanging our PCPs.  .. Robert F. Kennedy Jr, JD

The core of their combined effort is to provide more PCPs to offset the future shortage of up to 86,000 physicians by 2036.

As you can imagine, the progressives in Congress oppose the efforts of both of these men, as does the AMA.  

I would ask that all Muslim, Hindu, Christian, Jewish, and all other patriotic taxpayers write to both Secretary Kennedy and Administrator Oz, and to your Congressmen, to let them know that you are fully in support of their efforts to “Make America Healthy Again,” and include any fresh ideas you have that would help to model the new system.

I am also going to recommend that they use this strong model for these new front-line PCPs, which is based on that of my own doctor:

  My doctor has already been declared as being a “one out of a thousand” doctor by a Humana Research MD, PhD, following a USA survey of 1000 doctors per month nationally, as to how effectively they have educated their patients on their medications, dosages, their purposes, and how well they work with their patients.  All skills that the front-line PCPs will need to handle the higher number of expected patients.

  Because my doctor employs both a peripheral and a targeted approach to diagnosing symptoms, his diagnoses are much more accurate and complete, which is exactly what HHS wants of the future front-line PCPs.  His dual approach has resulted in his early stage detection for me of skin cancer, thyroid nodules, lung nodules, adrenal gland nodules, Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, and Biliary Disease/serious gallbladder dysfunction.   He is simply that good at his medical skills, just like the future front-line PCPs are going to have to be.

  My doctor utilizes all of the digital diagnostic tools, like Isabel and Adato, to supplement his diagnostic decisions, and his medical group routinely tests his skills with mandatory exams for that purpose.   Both of these aspects make doctors more efficient, which is what the future front-line PCPs will have to be.

  My doctor listens to patients, at the same time encouraging their participation in his diagnosis of their problem(s) by using questions he asks the patient to invoke a collaborative response. This controlled two-way conversation is an extremely effective tool that should be a part of the skills of these front-line PCPs.

  My doctor is a religious man and I know that religiousocity has always brought the best to the table of the human condition, and that these future Muslim, Hindu, Christian, Jewish, and frontline PCPs of other beliefs, will bring good things of their own as well, to the newly “over-hauled” nation’s healthcare system going forward to “Make America Healthy Again!”

May these new frontline PCPs all be blessed with courage, determination, and skills to offer the best healthcare to all who come to them.  Amen.
