How Rob Reiner Influenced His Son's Evil Nature

Like many people in this country, I heard about what happened to actor/director Rob Reiner earlier this week. Just picturing the way he and his wife, Michele, were killed gives me the creeps. I do not condone what their son, Nick, did in any sense of the word. It is my hope and prayer that Nick suffers the due consequences for his actions and that he comes to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ one day. I pray that his father and mother received Jesus Christ before they died and would not wish what happened to Rob Reiner and his wife on my worst enemy.

Nevertheless, I can't help but wonder if Rob influenced his son to become a corrupt human being in any way. A lot of people in this nation are criticizing President Donald J. Trump for what he said about Reiner, but Reiner really was a very hateful person. Last year after President Donald Trump was shot in Pennsylvania, Rob Reiner basically said he wished the assassin had been successful in murdering President Donald J. Trump. Reiner dehumanized and wished harm on anyone who disagreed with him. Reiner even responded callously when Rush Limbaugh got cancer and died. Because Reiner's the one who raised his son, I strongly suspect that he bears responsibility for Nick growing up to become a corrupt adult.

I know that a lot of people don't like to say anything negative about people who have died, so they try to pretend like they were saints when they weren't. The death of a person doesn't change who he or she was when he or she was alive. I mean, it wouldn't be wise to say that Hitler loved the Jews and wouldn't hurt a fly just because he's dead now, would it? We all know what an anti-Semitic monster Hitler was when he was alive! To pretend he didn't do those things is an insult to Holocaust survivors. To pretend Reiner was a saint would be an insult to people he dehumanized. Yes, what happened to Reiner and his wife was horrific, but it should also teach us a lesson. When a corrupt parent raises his or her child to be corrupt, it only leads to tragedy. Even back in Old Testament times, this was the case. Queen Jezebel raised her daughter, Athaliah, to be as evil and corrupt as she was. Both of them faced tragic consequences for their actions. God never sugar-coated any of the wicked people who are mentioned in His Word by pretending they didn't do the things they did when they were alive. He doesn't even sugar-coat heroes like Moses or King David. When people deny history, history is doomed to repeat itself.

You make some good points, and sometimes the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Maybe his overbearing, self-righteous and censoring of others' opinions that did not agree with his, was what Nick endured constantly...and it finally caused the poor kid to have mental issues and self-medicate himself with drug use. There is always 2 sides to everything, and I am sure Nick has a story to tell too.

I just think it's extremely double standard and mega hypocritical, for the people who are demonizing Trump, when REINER did the same exact thing to several people. Is it because he died a horrid violent death he is now a candidate for sainthood? Thus wiping away all the obnoxious things he has said and done in the past?
