In a world that wants quick satisfaction
There's far too many pitfalls that are distractions
Fallen to a nature that is seeking the temporary
Enticed by every aspect of the adversary

People focused on the flesh rather than the spirit
Too many don't believe that their life is worth it
Worth the future that awaits them to create
Or worth the time it takes to build something great

Fooled into self loathing and depressive thoughts
Rather than being productive as they once were taught
Swayed into developing a selfish personality
Instead of one that uplifts others in their vicinity

Hardly anyone seems to be truly thankful these days
As they seem to be going through the motions like a charade
There's so much to be grateful for if we take an honest look
The evidence is pretty clear right within the good book

Nobody likes being lied to, but not many seek the truth
Don't be tricked into wasting or betraying your youth
The plague of the insane isn't one to submit to
There's a cure that resides deep inside you
