When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. John 19:30 NIV
And now we have been redeemed. The price has been paid for all our sin. Jesus accomplished it all for us. He took our place. He is the eternal sacrifice.
Now, we have a choice. Are we going to accept the wonderful gift that God has provided, or are we going to choose to remain enslaved to the things of this world, and remain enslaved to our sin and the ultimate price we will need to pay?
The atonement has been finished. What more can God do to provide an eternity for us? He will not force Himself upon us. We were given free will, and we must choose for ourselves. So, what is it going to be for you?
