God's Word Always Trumps Our Feelings

Believers in Christ are bombarded daily by feelings of inadequacy and the enemy’s accusations. Yet God’s Word declares an unshakeable identity that trumps every lie. “For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes” (2 Cor. 1:20a, NASB). His truth anchors us when emotions waver.

Scripture proclaims our righteousness: “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Cor. 5:21). Full forgiveness is ours: “When you were dead in your wrongdoings and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our wrongdoings” (Col. 2:13). Justification stands firm: “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Rom. 5:1). Holiness is imputed: “By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (Heb. 10:10).

We are God’s children: “See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we would be called children of God; and so we are” (1 John 3:1a). Citizens of heaven: “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Phil. 3:20). Greatly loved: “Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you; remain in My love” (John 15:9). Coheirs with Christ: “And if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ” (Rom. 8:17a).

The enemy whispers condemnation, but “there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 8:1). Feelings shift like sand, yet “the word of our God stands forever” (Isa. 40:8). Jesus prayed, “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth” (John 17:17). When doubts arise, renew your mind: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Rom. 12:2a).

God knows everything: “His understanding is infinite” (Ps. 147:5). Trust Him over fleeting emotions or Satan’s deceptions. “The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself” (1 John 5:10a). Meditate on these truths daily; let them shape your heart. “Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You” (Ps. 119:11).

Today, silence lies with Scripture. Declare: “I am what God says I am.” His Word is final—rest in it.
