Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:42-43 NIV
Jesus is dying on a cross. He is in extreme pain, and it is difficult breathing. Yet, through all this He turns to the condemned man next to Him and assures Him that he would be with Jesus in paradise that very day. This man could not totally realize the implications of what the Lord had said to Him.
If you follow Jesus, your eternity has been determined. Rest in this assurance and continue to be obedient to the Lord. When you fail at times, return to Him with a repentant heart. See all that you have discovered in being led to the cross.
