Think of a rose
And how its beauty unfolds.
Or a big maple tree,
With colors so brilliant & bold.

Or listen to a rippling brook
So peaceful & serene
That you get lost in the moment
As if you’re in a dream.

These are the types of things
That are there to remind me,
Proof of God’s presence is all around us
If we’d just open our eyes and see.

I love to view God’s “sky-painting”
With shades of orange, pink & blue
That God hand-painted in the sunset sky
Choosing every color and hue.

Or on a clear, starry night
When you can get away from the city lights
Look up at the sky and you’ll see
Another masterpiece by God — What else could it be??

When you’re feeling down & out
And so full of despair,
Just listen to a child’s laugh
And try to tell me God isn’t there.

Yes these are the things,
That are there to remind me,
Proof of God’s presence is all around us
If we’d just open our eyes and see.

How many times,
Have you wondered to yourself
Why a friend, or even stranger
Came out of nowhere to offer help?

Or when someone does something,
That is so filled with love,
That you think to yourself,
"They were sent from God above".

These are the things,
That are there to remind me,
Proof of God’s presence is all around us,
If we’d just open our eyes and see.

So, the next time you’re wondering
“Where is God in this life of mine?”
Just take a look around you,
And see what you can find.

And hopefully you’ll see,
He’s around you everyday.
And you too can spread the word
As you praise Him when you say,

“These are the things
That are there to remind me,
Proof of God’s presence IS all around us
If we’d just open our eyes and see.
