Mary's Little Lamb

Mary had a Little Lamb,
He washed me white as snow.
He came to earth in human form,
He died to make me whole.

Mary watched Him as He grew,
At work and as He played.
The Lamb, He was the perfect one,
He made for us the way.

No more would we go through priests,
No animals to slay.
He gave the perfect sacrifice,
When He died that day.

He gave His life unselfishly,
So we could always live.
His blood, it washes every stain,
Eternal life’s our gift.

Now we can approach the throne,
With thanksgiving and praise.
Forever we will reign with Him,
Our voices we will raise.

No longer guilty of my sin,
He gave to me new life.
Now I know Him as my Lord,
Mary’s Lamb was Christ.

You have woven the greatest story ever told into the rhythm of a classic children's verse. May all who read this, who know not Mary's Lamb, in child-like faith place their trust in Him.

I found this, first, in The Rhythm of Life section of FaithWriters' Magazine. I had to reread it and pass along my humble thoughts.

Thank God! We can go straight to him, the one who died for us, and rose from the grave. And we can go without fear or trembling because he is sooo approachable!

I loved your little poem Mitzi! He followed her to shcool one day which was against the rule. No longer is the Lamb of God allowed to be at school. That little nursery rhyme is quite prophetic. Blessings, Sharon
