Lord God,

I feel my heart racing and the sweat building up,

The butterflies are in my stomach again,

It would be easier for me not to go out,

To stay inside where it is safe and hide away,

So Lord, I pray for your courage,

Teach me that no matter what social situation I face today,

I never go alone and you are always by my side,

Though I may fear being judged by others,

Teach me that my identity and self-worth is found in you alone,

Though I may fear the awkward interactions and silence,

Give me the courage to go forth in love,

For I do not know if there is someone I will meet today,

Whom I can bless with care and kindness.
