Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of the Lord; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men." 1 Kings 21:22.

The words of Prophet Elijah above are full of lessons. One of such lessons is that righteous people are not always in the majority. They are always in the minority group. This also means that a popular opinion does not mean the right or best opinion. Majority may be wrong, afterwards.

Why did the Prophet say this? He declared it all: he was alone and others were many fake prophets. The ratio was outrageous, it was 450:1. Yet, there were four hundred other prophets of the groves who were also fake. In total, it was a ratio of nine hundred and fifty to one(950:1) Prophets.

One Prophet was on the side of the Lord and was of the Lord while the majority of the populous were against the Lord. This means that a true and faithful prophet has always been very rare. They are not common. The "other types" are very common and easily available in various forms and ways.

As it was, so it is today. Certain people nowadays have concluded that "there are no Prophets" because they are all the same, fake. It is a mistake, a great one for that matter. For every fake product, there is an original one. If not, where does the fake come from? It was fashioned from the genuine one. There cannot be a fake without an original.

Let it be known to each Believer that the Lord has called him to be separate and different, (2 Corinthians 6:17). Those who are on the Lord's side are to be like the Lord our God. All people of God are to represent Him on the Earth. The world is full of darkness but the people of God are to be light in it to dispel darkness.

Therefore, Beloved of the Lord, do not despair whenever and wherever you find yourself as being different in thoughts, words, and deeds from others. It is not a new thing. Make sure you are different for good only. Shine as light for the Lord your God, you will not be alone, because He, the Lord will surely be with you to sustain you and to manifest His power through you. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
