Later that night, after not having any luck when he called his co-workers to see if they  knew anyone who rsd able to care for his mom, Neil became very discouraged. As he stood by the cabin's bathroom sink and brushed his teeth, he got a call from Mark. "I've decided to put off calling someone to come and care for Mom," he said. "She'll blow a gasket if we have a total stranger come into her house and tell her what to eat. I'm a little bit worried about how she would treat the stranger, too, so I decided I would take care of her myself and monitor what she eats and what she doesn't eat. After all, I can do that. I work remotely."

Neil spat his toothpaste into the sink. "You're probably right," he said as he wiped his mouth. "Mom is one of those people who'd win a prize for the Most Disagreeable Person In The World, if there was such a prize."

Mark laughed, but then grew nervous. "Of course, Mom doesn't like anyone telling her what to do, whether or not she knows the person. Please pray for me and Mom, Neil."

Neil agreed, and he and Mark prayed for Jesus Christ to help Mark to have the courage to do what was right and only buy healthy food for their mother and for their mother to do what was right and take better care of herself.

Neil came out of the bathroom and sat down on the couch. Lizzie was holding her favorite Christmas Little Golden Book, Jingle Bells, a story with the lyrics to the hit Christmas song and lots of animal characters, in her hand. They had forgotten their own copy of the book at home, so Lizzie was thrilled that the cabin had the book, too.

Neil pulled Lizzie onto his lap and kissed her on her forehead. As she cuddled in his arms, he softly read her the story and made all of the animals sounds. Lizzie giggled when he made the animal sounds. They sang the song "Jingle Bells" whenever the lyrics popped up.
