I had misplaced an important item and had searched extensively throughout our home for it,  but to no avail. The solution that seemed best was to reorder the same item right away from a familiar supply center. It was that important to me. I called their number and talked to a gracious young woman named Jennifer. She explained to me a complicated ordering process for which I would have to access their website. But before I said goodbye and hung up the phone I asked what she thought was the greatest blessing ever. Later I answered the question from Psalm 133 v3 stating that it was eternal life: a relationship with the Father and the Son. We both agreed that it could begin right away, here and now. Jennifer thanked me for sharing about everlasting life. Later I found the item I had been looking for after all. But I was glad I had lost it temporarily in order that I might have the privilege of speaking of eternal life with Jennifer. This, I am finding, is often how God works in and through us!
