There was once a very wealthy and generous man who sent his employees coast to coast and door to door giving away money. He had one stipulation or condition that had to be met before anyone could receive the huge financial gift: they must answer the door promptly, even within 30 seconds. One of his assistants asked him why he set such an unusual condition upon his generosity.
"Because one day soon we will all have a certain Visitor take us by surprise. If we have anything to hid at His coming, anything to be ashamed of which would delay our opening to Him, we will not qualify for His eternal reward. This little exercise will help us clear our consciences and prepare for Him.
