Joshua 6:22-24
"[22]But Joshua had said to the two men who had spied out the country, “Go into the harlot’s house, and from there bring out the woman and all that she has, as you swore to her.”_

[23]And the young men who had been spies went in and brought out Rahab, her father, her mother, her brothers, and all that she had. So they brought out all her relatives and left them outside the camp of Israel._
[24]But they burned the city and all that was in it with fire. Only the silver and gold, and the vessels of bronze and iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord."

The story above is one about a woman who was a popular harlot in the city of Jericho in the leadership days of Joshua the next leader after Moses.

The city was awaiting destruction at the hands of the people of God, the Israelites. However, a wise harlot who did not want to be destroyed along with other people of the city chose to work out her salvation from the impending danger. She hid the spies to save them from the king of Jericho and his people. She entered into a covenant with the spies to preserve her life and those of his close relatives because she was not married at the time.

Members of her household were her father, mother, sisters, and brothers. Those who were most important to her. She preserved the lives of those whose death could bring her sorrow. She did her part and her household members did theirs. That was how the lady, and her household, were delivered from destruction.

Beloved of Christ, the Lord is coming soon to take His Saints to be with Him. Are you prepared for Him? Are your household members ready for Him? Note that Great Tribulations are awaiting the world after the departure of the Saints. May you, and your household, not be left behind after the rapture in the name of Jesus Christ. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
