God's provisions

In Malachi 3:10 Scripture states”bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith saith the LORD of hosts if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it”. The New Testament does not say one must Tithe.

God desires for us to prove him. “But how can I prove him you say?By giving him an offering of your choice. Scripture says, in 2 Corinthians 9:7 every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver.” You shouldn't give more than you desire to give.

However I gave what seemed to me a small amount to my church. The very next day, I received a call from my landlady that she was lowering my rent by $100. a month.

I don't even know how many times God multiplied my small gift. However,God is the multiplier. I was thinking of the time when Jesus took two fish and five barley loaves from a small boy and multiplied it many times over. That time there was enough to feed a few thousand people.

In my situation God multiplied the small amount I gave him. To say I was shocked would be an understatement.

God indeed keeps his promises. God is faithful. In Deuteronomy 32:4 it states, For all his ways is just; a God of faithfulness and without injustice.
