If we wish to at all have an understanding of our Heavenly Father, we must do so through Jesus Christ, His Son, who is our Savior. The Father and the Son are one. Therefore one cannot know one without knowing the other. Remember that Jesus told Phillip that if one has seen the Son then they have seen the Father. The idea of the Trinity can be hard to understand, yet this does not make that fact any less true. One must totally surrender to Christ and believe in Him and all which He tells us. Jesus is the only way to the Father.
