His Ways Are Perfect

When the sun shines down,
And the way is bright,
And ev’rything seems
To be just right,
Its easy to say,
With a smiling face,
“My God is so good!
Full of mercy and grace.”

But when the tests come,
And the tears flow fast;
When life seems hopeless,
And the darkness vast;
Will our anchor hold?
And can we still say,
“My God is so good,
Who directs my way?”

When prayers seem empty,
And no answers come;
When our heart’s broken,
And we feel undone;
Will we choose to trust,
Though we cannot see,
And say, “God knows best!
For He cares for me.”

When we see others
Who from God have strayed,
And they won’t turn back,
Though we’ve prayed and prayed;
Can we release them
Into God’s great care,
Letting Him draw them,
And work with them there?

Our God’s ways are right,
And higher than ours.
They’re perfect and good,
And He holds all pow’r.
He knows and sees all,
From His heart of love;
And seeks to mold us
For heaven above.

His ways are perfect!
Oh how sweet to know
That He guides our steps,
As onward we go.
God, our great Shepherd
Directs our way;
And walking with Him,
We find grace each day.
