Remember using childhood opposite game flash cards?

We’re never too old to learn. Some things are total opposites.

Life is like a roller-coaster ride. We go UP; we come DOWN.

Riders grip their safety hand bars and begin a steep climb before their bodies are unexpectedly jerked down a sudden decline. The idiom holds true; ‘What goes up must come down.’

Was it only yesterday that you had a mountain top experience? Your focus was on Christ in praise and worship. Your future was bright; full of trust and hope. Things were looking up. What happened?

I speak from experience. Focusing on my circumstances, I have at times taken my eyes off of Christ.

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12: 2 KJV).”

It’s a new day; I will cling to Christ.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand (Psalm 37:23-24 KJV).”

I will not be utterly cast down; with faith, I’m looking up.
