Your continuous thoughts are a pointer to who you are. It will be very difficult for you to be better than your thoughts. Your thoughts will influence your actions which will dictate what your reward will be.

It will be easier for you to take steps on what you have always been thinking about for long. Anytime you find someone to explain any questions ravaging your mind, you will waste no time to clear your doubts.

Gideon And His Thoughts.
This was the case with Gideon in his days. On the day that he had an encounter with an Angel, he wasted no time solving a question that had agitated his mind for a long time.

What was it?

"[13]Gideon said to Him, “O my lord if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the Lord has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.” Judges 6.

He was a young man who was close to the fathers from whom he had heard about the Lord's deliverance of His people from oppression. He occupied his heart with the expectation that He should be able to do the same for him and his people. He believed the words of the Elders but expected the same deliverance or miracle to be performed again to free His people from the hands of the Midianites, the current oppressor.
He was concerned because of the seed of greatness in him.
The seed was yearning to find or see the complete solution to their total freedom.

Gideon was not selfish. A careful observation of the verse quoted above will show that second person pronouns, "we" and "us" appear seven times. This shows the extent of his concern for the freedom of his people. What he wanted was for him and his people.

What about you?
As a young man, can you see that you need words from your fathers to know about the past to plan for the present and the future? Eliminate selfishness, and hope, and act for yourself and your people. Your frequent positive thoughts may be an assignment the Lord has for you. Brace up and act positively and the results will amaze you. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
