There is no exaggeration in the truth that the Lord loves His people without any reservation. It is sad that God's people willfully disobey Him to their detriment. Their sins sold them to their enemies for torment as the Lord watched them suffer. This is one of the weapons in the hands of the Lord to correct them. He never forsake them but He will not allow them to go unpunished anytime they go astray.

This was the case during the life of Gideon. The Scripture reveals,
"6:6 And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites, the children of Israel cried unto the LORD." Judges.

Whenever a rod of correction was applied on the people, they turned and cried to the Lord their God Whom they had disobeyed. Because the Lord loved them, He answered them and provided an answer to their question in affliction.

Gideon, An Answer.
The Lord listened to the cry of His people by raising Gideon to deliver them from the rod of affliction, the Midianites, oppressing them. He became the answer to their problem of the moment. The man who was the Answer did not recognize himself so.

=The Scripture discloses,
"6:12 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valor." Judges.

Do you wonder why a "timid" man hiding resources or sustenance away from the enemies should be addressed as a "mighty man of valor? Gideon also thought so as well. He did not see himself as one until his attention was called to it at the right time.

Like Gideon, you are also "a mighty man of valor." You were not sent into the world without a purpose for you to attain nor were you born again to be useless. You have been created to be an answer to the cry of someone, a group of people, the society you find yourself, and your generation at large as well as incoming generations.

Wake up to your responsibility today. Be the answer you were created to be. Let this piece awaken the giant in you to act right for the glory of the Lord your God. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
