But he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.” The disciples did so, and everyone sat down. Luke 9:14b-15 NIV
Jesus did not reply to the disciple’s limited availability, except to have the disciples ask everyone to sit down in smaller groups of approximately 50 people. Here we do not hear a further objection by the disciples. Instead, they did as the Lord directed. Wise move, you disciples. What is needed is obedience to that which the Lord asks of each of us. He has the answer to every situation we face, but too often we try to solve things our way instead of just being obedient to the Lord. Obey Him and watch the outcome.
