The majority of mothers instantly bond with their newborn babies. Something is seriously wrong when a woman distances herself physically or emotionally. Bonding holds true for baby as well. A healthy child instinctively draws near their mother. It takes two to bond; to build a strong relationship.

The baby is totally dependent on its mother and she is at her baby's beckoned call. Sure mom gets weary; yet, she desires to meet her babe’s every need. Mothers are caregivers; they truly care. Mary had the responsibility and blessing of caring for Jesus; the Son of God.

Mary knew well that Jesus would be no ordinary child. He would not only be her son but also her Lord. They bonded before His birth. 

“And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.  He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.  And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end (Luke 1:31-33 NASB).”

The Virgin Mary was at Jesus’ beckoned call…

“And Mary said:

‘My soul magnifies the Lord,
And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant;
For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed (Luke 1:46-48 NASB).”
