The Government of Self

 “Where there is no revelation the people cast off restraints; but blessed is the person who keeps the law.” Proverbs 29:18

There is much said in those 18 words that will enrich our lives IF we care to do that, and who of us does not want a good, happy, productive life?

“Revelation” in this context simply stated is the clear vision of the structure of and the results of a thing that we are doing or allowing in our life. It’s the understanding of God’s communications to us, and that they are always for our good and for our protection.

 “Cast off restraints” when clear vision and understanding is absent people do whatever they want and seriously mess up, or even destroy their life by wandering onto the paths of living where God cannot pour blessings upon us.

“BUT” blessed is the person who keeps the law of God” because that is a path upon which God can profusely bless us, as He really wants to do.

Choosing God’s Ways enriches our lives and protects us from the Devil’s devices. Devil’s don’t hang out on the Paths of Right Living, and if they did wander over they would leave quickly because they must GO when we say NO!
