[30]And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” Acts 16.

The above statement came from the mouth of the Prison officer who was in charge of taking care of Paul and Silas during their incarceration for the sake of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The two servants of the Lord praised the Lord and the prison doors opened without human efforts. This sìngular act took the officer aback that was the reason he saw the need to be closer to the Lord God of the Apostles. He requested for the procedure to be saved from Satan, sins, and the world system.

The joyful men of God did not deny him the opportunity to be rescued as he demanded.

[31]So they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16.

He was told the simple way to become a Saint of Christ. Do you know that he was not only encouraged to take the step to become a new man in Christ? He was encouraged to involve members of his household. He was taught not to be selfish of the golden opportunity to become Christ's own. They pointed him to bring in those who were under his control in his house. These were those people under the same roof as him. He listened to them by inviting members of his family in the dead of the night to receive their salvation.

"[33]And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. Acts 16.

Time is not a barrier to salvation. A ready man can be delivered from the clutches of the enemy of man any time of the day.

In the night, he took care of the imprisoned men of God. He washed their wounds after which he and all members of his household (or all his family) were baptized after they had believed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Beloved of the Lord, have you experienced the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ? Congratulations! The next question is, "Are your household members saved? We cannot afford to be selfish with Christ's gift of salvation. Invite your family, talk, and pray for them until they are saved. May you and I not be guilty of the blood of our household members in Jesus' name.
