The Tools God Uses

Our lives are filled with good and bad;
With great trials, tests, and joys;
Each one, a tool in God’s hand,
That He lovingly employs.

How we enjoy God’s great blessings!
But when trials come along,
Do we accept, as from His hand,
Or lose our heart’s sweet song?

God knows we need the hard things, too,
To mold, and shape, and refine.
We choose to accept, or fight them,
Oft’ missing the plan Divine.

Instead of looking at the test,
Or tool, that God would use,
May we yield all to His hands,
And surrendered heart, now choose.

He brings not the harshest tools,
With a heart to do us harm,
But wants to draw us much nearer;
That we might lean on His arm!

We can safely trust our Father,
Who’s ways are perfect and true!
His love, tis hard to comprehend;
And how He cares for me and you!
