A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. Luke 7:37-38 NIV
This woman, a sinner, had no problem with seeking out Jesus. She shed her tears upon His feet. Such as these are precious to the Lord. Jesus calls for the sinner to come to Him. He is the One who can restore the sinner through His love, mercy and grace. Those who believe themselves to be righteous and pure see no reason to seek the Lord. Be like the woman herein. Let your tears be shed at the feet of the Lord.
