"He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he." Deuteronomy 32:5.

The quoted verse above speaks of the great virtues of the Lord God, the Creator of all things who was kind enough to create man in His image and likeness. He wants His Representatives to take after Him in all things.

He expected them to exhibit all His virtues so that He could be proud of them. However, the reverse is the case.

Why?

"They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation." Deuteronomy 32:5. KJV.

The above verse confirms the evil act of God's ambassadors on Earth. They have acted corruptly towards the Lord and their behavior was perverse because it negates the conduct of someone who is of the Lord. They have become a deceitful and twisted generation of people.

On those who claim to belong to the Lord their God, there is no spot to prove that they are the people of God. The mark(s) are missing.

Should this be so? "No!" is the answer.

"...their spot is not the spot of his children..." verse five in part.
This phrase calls for special attention. It shows that everyone will have his spot, or mark, on him to show that he belongs somewhere or to someone. It is an "identity card" to identify a person. This comes in various ways and forms. Many times it is evidence of life experience that leaves a mark there. The spot is unavoidable. The question is, "Which spot do you have on you?" Is it one that shows that you belong to the Lord your God as a child?

Life leaves a scar or spot on every individual. Which type do you have on you?

Apostle Paul lamented at a point in his lifetime that no man should trouble him because he was carrying the mark of Jesus Christ on his body, Galatians 6:17.

Do you wonder where he got the spot(s) as a man of God? He gave a catalog of what his life experiences were. Each of them left an indelible mark on him.

It is worthy of note that his long list of bitter experiences may not be divorced from his previous anti-church activities, do you call them atrocities? before his conversion to the faith in Christ.

He disclosed,
"[23]Are they servants of Christ? I know I sound like a madman, but I have served him far more! I have worked harder, been put in prison more often, been whipped times without a number, and faced death again and again.
[24]Five different times the Jewish leaders gave me thirty-nine lashes.
[25]Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked. Once I spent a whole night and a day adrift at sea.
[26]I have traveled on many long journeys. I have faced danger from rivers and robbers. I have faced danger from my people, the Jews, as well as from the Gentiles. I have faced danger in the cities, in the deserts, and on the seas. And I have faced danger from men who claim to be believers but are not.
[27]I have worked hard and long, enduring many sleepless nights. I have been hungry and thirsty and have often gone without food. I have shivered in the cold, without enough clothing to keep me warm.
[28]Then, besides all this, I have the daily burden of my concern for all the churches." 2 Corinthians 11, NLT.

Are the experiences relevant to you as a modern-day Christian? As a true child of God, you cannot avoid a spot from
*A loss for Christ
*All forms of persecution
*All forms of self-denial.
*All types of mocking in the name of faith professed

All burdens that are beard for Christ can leave one Mark or the other on your body as a child of God.

No Mark or spot on a child of God should be on his body for the devil or the world system. Avoid all forms of corruption or perversion that can inflict on your body a mark that is not that of a child of God. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
