What Faith Can Do

Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. Luke 5:18-19 NIV

These men who brought their paralyzed friend believed that Jesus could cure him. When they could not get past the crowd to lay him before Jesus, did they give up? No. Instead they climbed atop the roof, removed some of the tiles and lowered him in front of Jesus. What faith these men had. They were determined not to give up. How often do we quickly give up if our prayers are not answered. Are we not supposed to be persistent in prayer? Keep taking your prayers humbly before the Lord.
