Many people never appreciate the little things that the Lord their God gives them. If such people do that to their Maker, do you ever think they will appreciate what man does for them? I doubt much. Anyone who does not appreciate what the Lord does for him will not value anything a man does for him.

A man who does not appreciate what is little, that he did not work for, will not appreciate what is much.

One clear thing is that the Lord distributes His blessings according to everyone's "several abilities". Sadly, many people have not made sufficient good use of what the Lord had deposited in them but they are occupied with coveting the assignment or the blessings of another person who has the abilities to handle it.

Not only that, they abandoned their assignment or blessings to persecute someone who had been an assignment or blessing they coveted. In the long run, they will waste their precious time which would have been used effectively on the work given them. Another thing is that the Lord will not give them success over the one they choose to envy and persecute.

Such people should appreciate the little things that they have been blessed with.

A danger closely associated with such an attitude is the loss of what was given to them.

In the parable of Jesus Christ, three servants were given different numbers of talents, one received five, another two while the third man received only one.

Each traded with what was given and gained the same amount he was given except the one with a talent. He went to bury it.

He brought the lone silver coin to his Master with loads of complaints and accusations. The boss ordered,
"Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents." Matthew 25:28, KJV.

What was he left with? Nothing!

Those who fail to appreciate what the Lord has given them stand the chance of losing what they have.

Beloved Pilgrims, do not join the company of those who do not appreciate what the Lord has done for them or what He is doing for them. Appreciate the Lord your God and all His works in your life, work, and family. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
