Encouragement
=Have you heard these words before, "The value of what we don't have is greater than when we have it."? Ruminate over it for some time and draw your conclusions. Is the statement true or not?
Do you know that what you are hungry for now will lose its gripping value to you, no sooner than you get it?
No wonder then that the man of wealth, King Solomon rightly observed and declared," Vanity of vanity, all is vanity." Ecclesiastes 12:8 KJV.
This was the case with the Jews during their journeys in the wilderness where the Lord God of their fathers was leading them by the hand of Prophet Moses.
When they were hungry, the Lord their God chose to feed them with Angels' food which they never knew nor their fathers.
After a while, the lust of their flesh ceased to value nor appreciate the Lord's provision called Manna.
In their words,
"But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, besides this manna, before our eyes." Numbers 11:6, KJV.
Because they failed to appreciate further the provision of God, Manna depreciated. It meant nothing to them any longer. They went to the extent of weeping and longing for something else.
It is not a sin to desire something else or more but their approach was very wrong.
How?
*They failed to appreciate the Lord's provision that met their feeding need, the Manna.
*They saw nothing but the Manna. If The Lord provided Angels food to feed them, He was readily available to satisfy their request if properly presented before Him.
*Weeping was brought into the matter as if the Lord had always neglected them without caring for them. This was not so and it was wrong for them to think in that line.
Beloved, the Lord was angry with them, and His faithful Servant, Moses, was equally displeased.
Do you know that the Jews in the wilderness were and still are a replica of mankind in general and the people of God in particular?
Do you appreciate what the Lord has done for you or given you? Please, do. As you appreciate His kindness and blessings to you, prayerfully present your needs to Him and patiently wait for Him to satisfy you with them.
Therefore, do not provoke the Lord to anger by murmurings or grumbling. Appreciate His provision and ask for what you want more. Do not allow the lust of the flesh to influence or force you to sin against the Lord your God. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.

KJV is the King James Version of the Holy Scriptures.
