Finally one day after all this time, my shadow spoke up and said, "I consider it a privilege to have been so closely attached and associated with you all these years. Even if I had not been assigned to you, I would still have chosen you." To which wonderfully welcome words I responded, "It is a delight to hold you so effortlessly close. You are near and dear to me too by choice and not chance. You're not planning on going anywhere are you?" "No. Only where you go." "Then may we hold and be held equally close by Christ our Savior."
