“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” John 8:58 NIV

Jesus left no doubt here as to what He claimed. Those present would have known from scripture when God spoke to Moses and said “I AM who AM. Yes, Jesus was standing before these people declaring that He was God, having existed before the birth of Abraham. How many jaws dropped at His bold statement? Jesus speaks only truth.
