PUT YOUR GIFT TO WORK!
1 Corinthians 12:7.
A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help (SERVE) each other.
Matthew 20.28.
For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many."
The Lord is developing gifts in you that would greatly enhance your ministry and entire life. Since ministry is synonymous with selfless service, its important to understand that success in ministry, job or business greatly depends on how well we KNOW, DEVELOP and USE our gifts. We must start asking the Holy Spirit for the gift of interpretation of visions as well as tongues. Also divine wisdom to develop, effectively and successfully minister our gifts.
From time to time, God grants every saint the privilege of experiencing the prophetic, even though not everyone has the gift of prophecy. Either through visions, revelations or word of knowledge. We must MASTER our specific gifts by asking the Holy Spirit for His wisdom and guidance. And in fervent, consistent praying, UNDERSTAND HOW AND WHERE TO PUT THESE GIFTS TO WORK REGULARLY WITHOUT DELAY. The single spiritual expertise of dreams and interpretation turned Joseph, a rejected prisoner, into a renowned prince and prime minister IN A FOREIGN LAND!
Your gift(s) is opening great doors for you.
The Lord answers us speedily when we ask His help to put our spiritual gifts to productive use. Such prayers get prompt answers because that's what ministry, God's work or the gospel of Jesus Christ is. If we don't use our spiritual gifts, the power of God is NOT demonstrated and so, the name of Jesus Christ is NOT glorified and made known to all men. That makes us USELESS CHRISTIANS! We may be earning a great income, with a good educational qualification and high social status. We could be useful to ourselves, family, employer or community, but USELESS to God and His glorious, eternal Kingdom! This is not God's will for the saints, His glorious Church.
Romans 12:6-8.
In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.
Any spiritual gift not put to work, eventually stops to work!
Read 1 Corinthians 12 again. Identify your gift(s). Then, start from where you stand, and CONSTANTLY use that gift to help others for FREE. Now, you will be ETERNALLY blessed. Hallelujah!
