Apologetics

Early in his life, Jacob the son of Isaac and the grandson of the father of faith Abraham, exposed his heart content when he revealed that there was a home to provide for him.
He showed that he was a responsible man who thought about his tomorrow and after this life. In the evening of his life, he revealed his best approach to life and living that was not subject to any debate.
This came into being when he met King Pharaoh of Egypt then face to face. The King's question was about his age. He answered, _"47:9 And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage."_ Genesis
Can you see that Jacob saw and lived his life as someone who was on a Pilgrimage for a season? He was not the author of such an approach to life. It was in his blood. He was born with it and trained to live so.
His statement above reveals this in the first part and in the latter part, he mentioned that of his progenitors. He referred to their living as being on Pilgrimage.
They held loosely to the world and its contents. They set eternal life before themselves. That was the reason why they could live to please God.
Beloved, do you see yourself as a pilgrim on the Earth? Your time here is very short. Therefore, remember that you will go back home one day. Are you prepared?
Not only that, the Lord and our Savior of the world is coming to take those who are His own home to be with Him. Are you one of them?
May the Lord uphold you until the end of your journey in life in the name of Jesus Christ.
