It is said hurt people, hurt people
So someone who dealt with a lifetime of trauma
Would likely find themselves later in the midst of drama
The saddest part is the people who antagonize them
Poking at the pieces where the pain stems

Some people admit to their wrongdoing
Just to try and justify why it was they snapped
Why they decided to be a part of the problem instead of adapt
So around and around the cycle continues
Creating more issues for people to sing the blues

You would think people would learn kindness
Something different than what it was they experienced
So that their surroundings can change the variant
Everyone claims they are seeking happiness and peace
Meanwhile they constantly put forth a negativity that doesn’t cease

There are a lot of things that are hard to believe
However, in this day and age almost anything can be seen
Very little anymore in the mainstream comes out clean
The aspect of having something serene is almost nonexistent
A problem that is persistent and insistent to a great extent

Hopefully at some point soon we’ll witness a shift
A proper revolution to where healing can take place
A culture where it’s popular to put a smile on someone’s face
Not for selfish reasons, but to encourage and inspire
Creating an atmosphere for people to truly acquire a healthy desire
